All the staff were very friendly and Rob was a great host - very attentive. The food and service in the restaurant was very good. Soya milk in the room also a nice touch. I enjoyed the breakfast - the vegan sausages were much appreciated! The room was also warm which was good as the temperature started to plummet soon after arriving. The bed also 'just right'...I got a good night's sleep.

Excellent first impressions of the property with superb hanging baskets and all obviously well cared for. The staff throughout our stay could not have been better, friendly, helpful, efficient and always with a smile. Our room was as good as you could wish and we found it perfect for our four night stay. The food was excellent, breakfast just right and the evening meals could not be faulted, in fact we eat there every evening.all in all it was excellent value and we will return and recommend it to our friends and family.

Always love staying here, rooms are fantastic, immaculate and so comfortable. The food is so good and the staff very friendly and couldn't do enough. Cooked Breakfast very fresh and tasty which I always have.

Good breakfast and good evening meals. Staff were very attentive and helpful. Room was comfortable but not what I was expecting. Ideal location for visiting North Yorkshire and North East. Near to Northallerton railway station.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The outside was extremely attractive with lovely hanging baskets. We received a warm welcome. Very clean room and bathroom. Very comfortable bed, lovely white linen and towels also milk in a flask in our room! We enjoyed a delicious dinner and breakfast. Very nice pinot grigio! All the staff were very friendly, helpful and polite. We found it modern in the right places yet still with a lot of old world country charm.

Everything. Value for money & good size room. Clean & comfortable with tea/coffee in room. Walk in shower was great. Staff very polite & welcoming. Breakfast included in the price. Cereal, fresh coffee, fresh juice & full English. Lovely stay & would certainly recommend

After eight weeks travel , this pub must be ranked as the best we have stayed in . The welcome late on a bust Friday was warm and friendly . Our room was just superb with everything supplied that you only expect in more expensive properties . Although the restaurant area was booked , a table was found for us . A delicious meal …….fish pie and the best fish and chips cooked to perfection . Delicious ales and lagers , excellent choice of wine . Perfect . Comfortable bed , wi-fi , beautiful bathroom and everything you could want fitted into an ancient building . Breakfast was the full Yorkshire and perfect . We couldn’t have been happier . Everyone should visit the Wellington Heifer !

The friendly welcome from Jon. The room was lovely with a comfy bed. Bathroom fairly spacious - up in the roof so slanted ceiling. Power shower was fab. Excellent food and fair selection of drinks.

Spotless. Comfortable. Plenty of easy parking. Excellent beer!! (Hand-pulled Timothy Taylors was a perfect pint.) If you are a fan of "The Yorkshire Vet" this area is for you. Julian, Peter and all the team are only a few minutes down the road. Spectacular scenery is almost on the doorstep.

Great location easy to get too from the A1 good carpark. Fabulous food and excellent service, staff always attentive to our requests. Great menu choices from AlaCarte to set options. Breakfast on a morning is excellent and very relaxed. Rooms well presented with excellent bathrooms with tea and coffee making options. Good location for visiting Northallerton, Harrogate, Ripon and Bedale. A place that you always feel comfortable and welcoming coming back to.
